Main Responsibilities
Assist service users with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support individuals with mobility and physical activities to promote independence
Communicate effectively with service users to understand their needs and preferences
Maintain accurate records of observation notes, care plans and service user progress
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery
Drive service users to appointments or social activities as required
Engage service users in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance their emotional well-being
Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care
Support the service user to meet their household responsibilities
Take part in regular supervision and attend team meetings and training as required
Safely manage and record medication as per procedures
Person Specifications
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Basic IT skills for maintaining digital records and communication
A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
Good time management and organisational skills
Ability to work flexibly, including alternate weekends, evenings, and bank holidays
Ability to support individuals that may challenge, calmly and effectively, including implementing clear boundaries when required
You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle
Enhanced DBS check with satisfactory clearance (required before start date)
