Principal Responsibilities
As a Care Assistant, your duties will include:
Showing up with a smile to provide companionship and build trust with customers
Assisting clients with getting up, going to bed, dressing, undressing, bathing, and toileting
Helping with mobility and physical disabilities, including incontinence and the use of aids/equipment
Caring for clients who are temporarily sick or terminally ill, including feeding and bed nursing
Promoting mental and physical activities through conversation, outings, reading, hobbies, and recreation
Performing light household tasks such as making beds, cleaning, tidying, and laundry
Preparing and serving light meals, setting tables, and washing up
Inspecting, laundering, and mending clients’ clothes
Writing reports and participating in client reviews and training
Adhering to all Caremark policies and procedures
Reporting any significant health or personal changes in clients to the Field Care Supervisor or Care Manager
Encouraging client independence whenever possible
