About the Programme
The Creative Writing Programme offers a series of connected discovery modules from level one to three. Undergraduate students from across the university take these modules to broaden their degree experience.
Students come from diverse academic backgrounds and bring varying levels of writing experience — from regular writers to complete beginners.
Responsibilities
You will take responsibility for the delivery of two 20-credit modules in Travel and Journalistic Writing.
Module Content:
Practical writing workshops
Practical assignments
Discussion of work in progress
Structured reflection
Analysis of contemporary writing in the field
Delivery Format:
Weekly, two-hour face-to-face classes
Taught in both semester one and two
Held on Wednesdays, from late September through May each academic year

Requirements
Outstanding teaching skills, ideally in Higher Education (HE)
Practical understanding of diverse learners’ needs
Appointment Details
Tutors are appointed on a pro-rata basis of 6.68% of a full-time contract per 20-credit module
Payment is based on 110 hours per module, subject to sufficient student enrolment
This is an ongoing appointment
