Key Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and presentation.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain kitchen efficiency.
Create innovative dishes that showcase culinary skills while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new kitchen staff as required.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
Previous supervisory or team management experience.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent leadership abilities with a passion for mentoring junior staff.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique dishes that enhance menu offerings.
Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
