Role Overview

The Care and Support Assistant role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives. The position involves delivering direct support and care, helping residents maintain independence, and providing essential daily assistance. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high level of personalised care and support, encouraging customers to live as independently as possible and promoting active support for all.

  • Assist customers with washing, dressing, bathing, and hygiene.

  • Administer medication.

  • Support customers with shopping, cleaning, and laundry tasks.

  • Help customers arrange and attend appointments (e.g., GP visits).

  • Promote a positive culture by engaging with customers to prevent social isolation.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

  • Promote safe practices and undertake risk assessments.

  • Provide peace of mind for residents by carrying out night-time security checks and checking on all buildings and residents.

Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience delivering personal care is desirable.

  • A kind, caring nature.

  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing customer needs.

  • Excellent organisational skills.

  • NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards) is desirable.
