A Day in the Life of a Home Care Assistant
As a Care Assistant, you will support clients in various ways depending on their needs, including:
Providing personal care
Administering medication
Light domestic duties
Preparing meals and snacks
Shopping
Offering companionship
Your greatest impact comes from the simple, everyday moments of connection, kindness, and companionship.
Work Structure:
Rounds are planned to keep travel within a small, manageable area, helping you build strong, long-term relationships with clients. Occasionally, you may need to travel further.
Pay and Benefits
£13.10 per hour Monday–Friday
£14.10 per hour Saturday & Sunday
Mileage: 32p per mile

About You
Experience or qualifications in care are not required – we provide free, comprehensive training.
What matters most is your passion, motivation, and desire to help your community.
Requirements:
Good people skills with strong empathy
Caring and compassionate nature
Positive, professional team-working ethos
Minimum of 12 months on your right to work
Driving license and own car required
Flexibility for shift patterns between 7am – 10pm
