About the Role

The focus of the Care Assistant role is to deliver high standards of personal care and contribute fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting residents in personal hygiene care while ensuring independence, dignity, and respect at all times.

  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, and signs of infection, and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.

  • Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting dignity and individuality.

  • Practicing safe systems of work across a range of tasks.

About You

Experience is not required, as Avery Healthcare provides a thorough induction and training programme.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrate initiative and show respect towards residents and colleagues.

  • Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
