Main Duties of the Job
Manage approximately £40m funding annually to support education and training, ensuring allocation across the Trust to meet educational needs.
Develop and maintain financial modelling to demonstrate how funding is spent.
Oversee the Workforce Directorate, providing a conventional financial management service alongside new challenges and development opportunities.
Contribute to Finance department operations, generating service improvement ideas.
Deputise for the Finance Manager and Head of Finance when required.
Present complex financial information in accessible ways for non-finance staff.
Be based at 250 Euston Road with flexibility for part-remote working.

Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications (Essential)
Degree level education with strong academic record.
CCAB qualified accountant/finalist or equivalent experience.
Postgraduate education in finance.
Experience (Essential)
Proven and substantial NHS finance experience.
Technical knowledge of NHS finance, costing, and income.
Experience with cost improvement/productivity schemes.
Familiarity with Standing Financial Instructions.
Use of General Ledger and financial reporting systems.
Ability to analyse large, complex data sets and present clearly.
Desirable:
Knowledge of NHS Service Line Reporting.
Experience of people management.
