An opportunity has arisen to join the Patient Experience Team as a Data Entry Clerk. The role involves providing support with the data entry of patient feedback received by the team, including survey data and compliments.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Ensure accurate data entry onto the patient experience tool.

  • Record compliments using Microsoft Excel.

  • Open mail, date stamp, and distribute appropriately.

  • Add data from IQVIA to posters, print, and laminate.

  • Maintain the team’s generic email inbox.

  • Communicate effectively at all levels.

  • Monitor free text comments on the patient experience tool.

  • Provide patient feedback information in PDF format to collaborative staff when requested.

  • Post requested leaflets, questionnaires, and SAE to services or patients.

  • Monitor national feedback websites and raise awareness within the team.

  • Respond to enquiries in a confidential, pleasant, and helpful manner.

  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, and share with the identified team member.

  • Maintain safe storage of confidential information.

  • Collect patient feedback surveys from wards and outpatient areas.

  • Maintain a clean workstation.

  • File documents in accordance with trust policy.

  • Highlight data entry errors promptly and efficiently to improve database quality.

  • Take meeting notes at team meetings.

  • Perform ad hoc administrative tasks as agreed with the Patient Experience Manager.

DBS Information

  • Standard Check: £21.85 (deducted in instalments).

  • Enhanced Check: £41.90 (deducted in instalments).

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Good all-round education (GCSE or equivalent passes in English and Maths) or equivalent work-based experience.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Previous file management experience.

  • Experience of general office procedures.

  • Evidence of good organisational skills.

Skills and Aptitudes

  • Effective IT skills (Microsoft Office).

  • Ability to input confidential data accurately.

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
