Main Duties of the Job

The Senior Project Manager will:

  • Manage one or more projects independently in complex situations.

  • Supervise and support others in project delivery.

  • Empower and inspire teams to deliver successful outcomes.

  • Consolidate and document project components.

Person Specification

Qualifications – Essential

  • Degree level education or equivalent knowledge.

  • PRINCE2 Certified Practitioner.

  • Evidence of continuous personal development.

Desirable:

  • MS Project, MS Office, Benefits/Change Management, NHS Digital Clinical Safety.

  • Leadership & Management or MSP Certification.

Experience – Essential

  • Managing complex projects using PRINCE2.

  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Managing conflict and resources.

  • Developing business cases, budgets, and project schedules.

  • Working with stakeholders and governance processes.

Desirable:

  • People management, coaching, NHS or IT project management.

  • Business-as-usual integration experience.

Knowledge – Essential

  • Project management methodologies and tools.

  • Team leadership and benefits management.

  • Information governance and cyber security.

  • Risk management, stakeholder planning, and investment appraisal.

Desirable:

  • Healthcare finance, contract management, service improvement tools.
