Role-specific Duties

  • Ensure residents are at the heart of care delivery, respecting their wishes and preferences.

  • Contribute to the efficient running of the service.

  • Support residents to maintain community connections.

  • Follow care plans and other supporting information.

  • Inform the Senior Care Assistant/Nurse of any changes in residents’ needs.

  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of residents.

  • Maintain and develop relationships with residents’ loved ones.

Essential Criteria

Qualifications

  • Good English (written and verbal).

Skills

  • Proficient written skills to maintain care plans and records.

  • Communication skills to build rapport with residents and liaise with colleagues, management, and professionals.

  • Problem-solving skills to adapt, respond quickly, and report safeguarding concerns.

  • Ability to assist residents with daily tasks, including bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom.
