Job Summary
This is a developmental opportunity, offered initially at Band 7, with a structured 12-month progression plan towards Band 8a.
The Financial Accountant will be part of the Financial Accounting team, working closely with the Deputy Director of Finance (DDoF) and the Head of Financial Accounting (Head of FA) to complete the annual accounts. The role ensures consistency with the Trust Accounts Consolidation forms (TACs) and other information submitted to NHS England (NHSE) and the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
Applicants must be qualified CCAB/CIMA accountants with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and operate independently within defined standards and policies.

Main Duties of the Job
Work with the DDoF and Head of FA to complete annual accounts in line with TACs and NHSE/DHSC requirements.
Undertake completion of TACs in accordance with financial regimes including IFRS, IAS, FT ARM, DHSC GAM, and HMT FReM.
Collaborate with finance and contracting teams, Trust subsidiaries, NHS Shared Business Services (SBS), auditors, managers, and other stakeholders.
