About the Role
The Customer Service Assistant will be based at the reception within one of Riverside’s three extra care facilities. The role involves delivering efficient, customer-focused services and handling all enquiries, including face-to-face contact with customers and visitors. This position is key to ensuring a first-class service within a modern and busy housing service.

Key Responsibilities
Adhere to performance and availability standards in line with the PFI contract.
Provide support to the Contract Manager, Service Manager, and Events Coordinator with administration, enquiries, and repairs logging.
Collate contract information and returns.
Deliver a positive first impression and adopt a “one stop” approach to customer enquiries.
Provide statistical information as required by the PFI contract.
Log requests for information, repairs, complaints, and Handyperson services, ensuring deadlines are met.
Answer calls in line with Riverside’s service standards.
Work within a multi-agency team to deliver seamless customer service.
Handover responsibilities to the onsite care team.
Maintain a visible presence for safety and security within the service.
Respond to emergency calls via Tunstall technology.
Handle housing management queries from customers and visitors.
Ensure appropriate recording and IT systems are in place and functional.
Manage the room booking system and assist with event programme organisation.
Cover other sites as required for absence or leave.
Work on a rolling rota, including evenings and weekends.
Person Specification
Essential:
Experience in housing and/or support environment.
Experience working with vulnerable customers.
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
IT proficiency (Microsoft Office and databases).
Report writing skills.
Organisational skills.
Flexible and responsive attitude.
Desirable:
Formal care, support, or housing qualification.
5 GCSEs or equivalent.
Understanding of safeguarding.

Experience in housing or support settings.
The ability to communicate effectively and resolve conflicts.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work with vulnerable customers.
