Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance professional to join the busy and dynamic financial management team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The role supports the Chief Finance Manager by providing a high-quality financial management accounting service to several specialties. This includes coordinating the operational financial management section, offering financial and business planning advice, and investigating and advising on highly complex and sensitive financial issues.
Candidates must be CCAB-qualified accountants with substantial relevant experience in financial management.

Main Duties
Manage a Financial Management section, ensuring delivery of high-quality accounting services.
Play a leading role in Business Unit and Trustwide teams, contributing to strategic and operational processes.
Investigate and advise on complex and sensitive financial issues.
Provide financial and business planning advice and corporate reports in line with Corporate Governance requirements.
Ensure statutory accounts and returns are accurate, timely, and legally compliant.
Contribute to the medium-term financial strategy and business unit objectives.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential):
Professional Accountancy qualification.
Participation in Continuing Professional Development.
Experience (Essential):
Extensive knowledge and experience of financial management regimes and legislation, developed post-qualification.
Professional experience working alongside other qualified accountants, including relevant training and self-study.
Experience (Desirable):
Knowledge of Oracle Financials.
Specialist knowledge of NHS financial regimes and legislation.
Other Requirements (Essential):
Valid driving licence and access to a car for work, or use of a Trust personal lease vehicle.
