Job Description
Day-to-Day Duties
Accompanying people to appointments
Assisting with personal care such as showering and dressing
Helping with meals, including preparation, cooking, and support with eating and drinking
Supporting with shopping
Assisting with medication

Good English, numeracy, and writing skills
Ability to understand and follow procedures
Strong organisational and time management skills
Good communication and listening skills
Working Hours
The Health Care Assistant role can be flexible. Hours are usually based on shift patterns, allowing for a work/life balance.
Training and Development
Informal training and education
Formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Health and Social Care (up to Level 5 depending on role) or specialist subjects like dementia care
Specialist training provided in areas such as catheter care, PEG training, communication skills, and team leadership
