Key Responsibilities
Support young people with daily routines such as school preparation, meal times, and activity planning.
Help create a warm, homely environment with light housekeeping.
Build meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
Plan and take part in fun activities like park trips, movie nights, or creative projects.
Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
Work Environment
The home is set in a rural location with outdoor space for play and activities.
Furnished to a high standard, with bedrooms decorated according to each child’s preferences.
The young people supported have complex needs and a history of adverse childhood experiences.
Each child has an individual support plan tailored to their needs.
Daily shifts are guided by an experienced senior team, with monthly meetings to review progress and challenges.
Regular supervision (at least monthly) and monthly upskilling sessions are provided by a regional mental health practitioner.
Candidate Profile
Warm, patient, a good listener, and encouraging.
Focused on achieving positive outcomes for young people.
Previous experience not required — training will be provided for those with the passion to make a difference.
