Role Overview
The role involves supporting young adults with learning disabilities, autism, and/or behaviours that challenge. The care home is based in Yoxall, Burton on Trent — a rural location, therefore access to a car and a valid driving licence are essential.
Support Workers assist with daily living tasks and provide flexible, empathetic support tailored to each individual.
No prior experience is necessary, as full training is provided.
Pay and Benefits
Standard rate: £13.25 per hour
Night shift enhanced rate: £14.57 per hour
Weekend work: additional one hour paid per 7 hours worked
Sleep-ins at The Mount: £55 per night
Team leader enhancement: £0.80 per hour when acting as team leader
6 weeks holiday per year

Working Hours and Shift Patterns
Staff work on a four-week rolling rota, including every other weekend. Shift times are flexible and discussed at interview.
Early shift: 8:00 am – 3:15 pm
Late shift: 3:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Night shift: 10:00 pm – 8:00 am
Options include single shifts or double shifts (e.g., 3 double shifts followed by several days off).
Candidate Requirements
Dedicated, innovative, flexible, and empathetic.
Must live within 20 miles of Yoxall, Burton on Trent.
Must hold a valid driving licence and vehicle.
Must be eligible to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).
Able to commit to over 22 hours per week training for induction.
Must provide full past work history when applying (applications with gaps or missing history will not be considered).
Note: Applicants from Coventry, Walsall, Birmingham, Stoke on Trent, Nottingham, or other distant areas will not be considered due to location and lack of public transport.

Based in Yoxall, Burton on Trent (rural setting).
