Job Summary
Exciting opportunities have arisen for highly motivated and experienced Business Analysts to join the Digital Transformation Team within the Digital & Data Directorate at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB).
The team has a rapidly expanding portfolio of projects, including:
Electronic prescribing and medicines administration
Transforming patient contact services
Several smaller projects supporting direct care
The role involves working with end-users and suppliers to gather requirements, design solutions, and streamline processes to improve outcomes for patients, citizens, and families, in line with the CTM 2030 strategy.
Main Duties of the Job
Support the gathering of requirements, solution design, and process improvements
Work closely with projects, SMEs, and Clinical Systems Managers
Contribute to transformation project objectives across healthcare services
Enable and support key initiatives for CTMUHB
This post is fixed term/secondment until 31 March 2028 due to project work in PCCT or Mental Health. Applicants seeking secondment must obtain permission from their current line manager before applying.

Person Specification
Qualifications & Knowledge (Essential)
Educated to Master’s level (or equivalent qualification/experience)
Familiar with modelling and analysis tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect), methods and standards (e.g. UML, BPMN)
In-depth knowledge of business modelling techniques and ability to present results to senior managers
Desirable:
Recognised Business Analysis qualification (e.g. BCS International Diploma)
Knowledge of NHS developments and policy initiatives
Experience (Essential)
Applying analytical techniques and evaluating data integrity
Consulting activities and facilitating stakeholder groups
Process analysis and change (financial, cultural, technological, organisational, environmental)
Defining, documenting, and delivering projects independently or in small teams
Establishing and maintaining data structures using data analysis/modelling techniques
Skills & Attributes (Essential)
Highly organised, self-directed, and professional
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong influencing, negotiation, and facilitation skills in healthcare settings
Ability to travel across sites as required
