Role Overview
Cartrefi Cymru is seeking a Support Worker based in Groeslon, Gwynedd to assist individuals with learning disabilities in living fulfilling and independent lives within their community.
Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week (includes weekends and sleep-ins)
Pay Rate: £12.74 per hour
Sleep-in Rate: £60 per night
Mileage: 45p per mile
Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, the role focuses on helping three males make choices and achieve personal goals — from everyday decisions to larger life plans.
Duties include:
Supporting individuals in making daily and long-term decisions such as meals, finances, or travel
Encouraging participation in structured activities that build confidence and develop new skills
Assisting with practical responsibilities like bill payments, home maintenance, and social engagement
Promoting well-being through meaningful daily interactions
Providing personal care with respect and dignity
This role involves personal care and requires empathy, patience, and commitment to person-centred support.
Candidate Requirements
No prior experience is required as full training is provided. Applicants should:
Demonstrate patience, empathy, and respect in providing care
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Be able to advocate for individuals and communicate with professionals
Possess good written skills for accurate documentation
Hold a full driving licence (essential for transport duties)
Have Welsh language skills (preferred) to support Welsh-speaking service users
