Requirements
Male applicants only (Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act)
Experience working with people with mental health conditions, autism, challenging behaviours, and learning disabilities
Comfortable using or being trained in restraint techniques
Able to work confidently alone and as part of a wider team
Strong values and a person-centred approach
Must be flexible to work shifts
Energetic, resilient, and proactive attitude
Willingness to engage in activities such as biking, fishing, and swimming with service users
Enthusiastic and creative in providing person-centred support
Commitment to personal and professional development
Ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding
Passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism
Prepared to work with individuals who may display challenging or risky behaviour
Must live within commutable distance of Spalding
Valid driving licence and own vehicle required (due to limited public transport links)
Desirable:
Experience supporting individuals with epilepsy and administering Buccal Midazolam (training provided)
Background in forensic mental health, supported living, or residential care
NVQ qualification in social care or Care Certificate (training available)
