Main Duties

  • Provide executive support to the Chief People Officer, including strategic planning and performance oversight.

  • Lead and manage the CPO Office to ensure timely delivery of objectives.

  • Develop and implement business plans and monitor progress.

  • Liaise with senior stakeholders across the Trust and with external partners.

  • Lead on project work, report writing, and preparation of board-level documentation.

  • Support employee relations and provide advisory input on complex HR matters.

Person Specification

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree and professional HR qualification (or currently studying towards one).

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience as a HR specialist in a complex, multi-professional organisation.

  • Experience of trade union partnership working (up to regional level) in a complex organisation.

  • Significant experience working with Executive and Senior Management teams.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This role is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, meaning a submission to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) is required to check for any previous criminal convictions.
