Maambo is seeking a creative Content Creator who understands Gen Z and millennial humour, keeps up with TikTok trends and memes, and can turn them into clever, relatable, and engaging content. Key Responsibilities
Create original, high-quality short-form video content (TikToks, Reels, stories) that captures Maambo’s warm, human, and cheeky tone.
Identify and adapt trending topics on social media to fit Maambo’s key themes — peer support, life struggles, relationships, and burnout.
Collaborate with the Maambo team to brainstorm and script weekly content ideas.
Capture and edit authentic visuals using personal creativity — no stock imagery.
Engage with audiences through comments and trends to promote organic growth.
Occasionally assist with copywriting, including captions, hooks, and campaign slogans.
Requirements
Final-year student or recent graduate in any of the following (or similar) fields:
Digital Marketing
Media, Film & Television
Communications or Journalism
Advertising or Creative Media Production
Psychology, Sociology, or Cultural Studies (with content creation interest)
Proven experience creating short-form video content (include links or a short portfolio).
Strong understanding of TikTok trends, meme culture, and social storytelling.
Proficiency in video editing tools such as CapCut or InShot.
Creative thinker with a natural sense of humour and emotional intelligence.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
