About the Role
Active Care Group, one of the UK’s largest providers of complex care, is looking for a part-time Support Worker to assist a gentleman with locked-in syndrome in his own home in Andover. The role also involves accompanying him out into the community for daily activities.
This position is ideal for those seeking a flexible role within school hours, offering both morning and early afternoon shifts.
Work Schedule
Morning shifts: 9:00 am – 10:30 am
Early afternoon shifts: 11:30 am – 3:00 pm
Part-time hours
Applicants interested in afternoon shifts must hold a valid full UK driving licence and be comfortable driving an assisted vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care and support alongside live-in staff during morning shifts.
Assist with hoisting and helping the client prepare for the day.
Drive the client to various community destinations, such as shops and parks, during afternoon shifts.
Support the client in maintaining independence and participating in daily activities.
Full training, shadow shifts, and ongoing support from the Care Manager are provided.
