Leonard Cheshire is looking for kind and compassionate individuals who want to help others live life their own way. The Support Worker role is based at Chipstead Lake in the peaceful village of Chipstead, Kent, a home for up to 22 disabled adults.
The residence features extensive, accessible grounds and scenic views of the village’s large fishing lake. Local amenities, including a pub and supermarket, are nearby, and the town of Sevenoaks is just a short drive away. The service has a family feel – relaxed, supportive, and centred on the people who live there.
Working Hours
Full-time hours: 34.5 hours per week
Flexibility required to work weekends as part of a rota
Key Responsibilities
Support with daily living tasks such as personal care, mealtimes, and medication
Encourage independence through a person-centred approach
Accompany residents to appointments, community activities, and events
Maintain clear and accurate records
Help each person live life on their own terms
No previous care experience is required – full training is provided.
What You’ll Need
Warm, friendly, and empathetic attitude
Flexible approach to working, including weekends
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience in personal care (helpful but not essential)
Genuine passion for helping others and making a difference

Enhanced pay: From 1 December 2025, an additional £1.00 per hour will apply to weekend working (8pm Friday to 7am Monday). This excludes sleep-in shifts.
