Home Carer, with Minster Home Care

Established in 2020, MINSTER HOME CARE is a family owed company, offering home carer roles throughout the York area. The role consists of providing personal care and companionship services to clients. As a Home Carer, you will work with specific clients and develop a professional bond with them and their family, which is an extremely rewarding and vital role to maintain a clients independence.

Training & Onboarding

What happens when I start working at Minster Home Care?

Before you meet any of our clients, you will attend an induction at our office and a moving and handling training course. You are paid for all training.

After this, you will shadow a colleague so that you become comfortable and settle into your new role. There are often great opportunities to develop your career with various NVQ courses and accreditations available. All you need is a caring nature and a positive attitude!

We designed our interview process to be relaxed and our recruitment policy is based on values so even if you have no care experience please get in touch, as we are always on the lookout for trustworthy, reliable and caring people to join our team.

Evenings and weekends.

What does working as a Support Worker/Home Care Assistant involve?

  • Providing Personal Care & Companionship services

  • Helping clients in and out of bed

  • Supporting clients with hobbies and activities

  • Providing a range of non-medical services
