Key Responsibilities
Operate a flatbed lorry to deliver goods safely and on time to various locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Load and unload cargo, securing items properly for transport.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers about delivery schedules and any delays.
Follow all traffic laws and promote safety on the road.
Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to management.
Requirements
Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
Experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed lorries.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and commercial driving best practices.
Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical loading and unloading tasks.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the job.
