Main Duties of the Job
Ensure all patient activity is accurately recorded and priced according to the National Tariff Payment System (NTPS)
Produce high-quality reports and insightful analysis
Resolve discrepancies for both internal and external stakeholders
Communicate complex financial information to non-finance managers
Requirements:
CCAB-qualified (or equivalent relevant experience)
Confident in Excel, Access, and SQL
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Willingness to contribute to developing and enhancing income reporting processes

Education / Qualifications (Essential)
Professional Accountancy Qualification (CCAB)
Continuing professional development
Knowledge and expertise in financial management, strategic/staff management, or relevant senior experience in Informatics or Planning
Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Access)
Expert in Excel, Access, and SQL database management
Experience (Essential)
NHS finance experience, including working with finance and non-finance staff at all levels up to Trust Board
Strategic knowledge of NHS commissioning arrangements
Comprehensive understanding of accounting and NTPS
Senior-level experience in a challenging environment
Experience in a similar department
Staff management including monthly accounts/reports
Costing and pricing of complex business cases
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities (Essential)
Strong numerical and analytical skills
SQL reporting/writing
High attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure with competing demands
Expert keyboard skills
Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures
