Role Overview
Cygnet Health Care is seeking a Lead Social Worker to join the CAMHS service at Cygnet Hospital Bury. This is a full-time role (40 hours/week), ideal for someone passionate about delivering outstanding care and making a meaningful impact on young people’s mental health.

Key Responsibilities
Lead on the social care needs of service users and patients
Work in partnership with families, service users, and other stakeholders to support recovery
- Ensure awareness of legal rights among service users and families/carers
Maintain professional contact with statutory agencies
Actively contribute to safeguarding within the multidisciplinary team
Prepare and deliver written reports to clinical and professional teams
Drive service improvement and reinforce the role of social work in mental health services

This hospital offers CAMHS Tier 4 PICU, General Acute, and Low Secure services across four wards. The treatment pathway includes admission, intervention, and discharge, with an emphasis on rapid assessment and targeted therapy.
Candidate Requirements
You are:
A Registered Social Worker (Social Work England)
Qualified in Social Work
Experienced (minimum 4 years) in a mental health setting or have a strong interest in the field
Knowledgeable in safeguarding, confidentiality, health & safety, and equality & diversity
Strong in communication and interpersonal skills
Skilled in report writing, with excellent literacy and attention to detail
Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
