Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the social care needs of service users and patients

  • Work in partnership with families, service users, and other stakeholders to support recovery

  • Ensure awareness of legal rights among service users and families/carers
  • Maintain professional contact with statutory agencies

  • Actively contribute to safeguarding within the multidisciplinary team

  • Prepare and deliver written reports to clinical and professional teams

  • Drive service improvement and reinforce the role of social work in mental health services

This hospital offers CAMHS Tier 4 PICU, General Acute, and Low Secure services across four wards. The treatment pathway includes admission, intervention, and discharge, with an emphasis on rapid assessment and targeted therapy.

Candidate Requirements

You are:

  • A Registered Social Worker (Social Work England)

  • Qualified in Social Work

  • Experienced (minimum 4 years) in a mental health setting or have a strong interest in the field

  • Knowledgeable in safeguarding, confidentiality, health & safety, and equality & diversity

  • Strong in communication and interpersonal skills

  • Skilled in report writing, with excellent literacy and attention to detail

  • Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
