Glyn Thomas House Immingham is seeking compassionate and dedicated carers to provide high-quality support to residents in need of assistance. As a Carer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents, ensuring their comfort in the care home.

Responsibilities include providing personal care, companionship, and support for individuals with diverse needs, including dementia care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care tailored to individual needs.

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the resident’s quality of life.

• Monitor and report changes in the resident’s condition to family members or healthcare professionals.

• Administer first aid when necessary and ensure a safe environment for residents.

• Support residents with mobility issues and assist them in engaging in social activities.

• Maintain accurate records of residents’ care and progress.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or care home settings is preferred.

• Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage.

• Certification in first aid is desirable.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families is essential.

• A caring attitude with a focus on patient dignity and respect.

• Flexibility to work various shifts as required.

Pay & Hours

• Pay: £10.00–£12.21 per hour

• Expected hours: No less than 23.5 per week

Shifts:

• Early: 06:45 – 14:00

  • Week 1: Mon, Tues, Sat & Sun

  • Week 2: Wed, Thurs & Fri

• Late: 13:45 – 21:00

  • Week 1: Mon, Tues, Sat & Sun

  • Week 2: Wed, Thurs & Fri

• Night: 20:45 – 07:00 (Bank night shifts to cover sickness & holidays)
