Reporting to a Senior Business Analyst your role will contribute to the delivery of an ambitious and fast-paced programme of enhancements to the Trusts Electronic Health Record, PPM+.

The EHR Delivery Team is integral to the Trusts digitisation agenda and ambition to support effective patient care through the innovative use of technology. The team are responsible for developing the EHR and integrating multiple systems within the platform to support the organisations ambition to deliver a leading integrated digital clinical record that is used across the Trust, city and region as a whole.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Business Analyst working in EHR Deliverys BA Team, you will build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to elicit and elaborate requirements leading to the development of new features in the EHR. You will present the work to technical personnel at various stages to gain their input and ensure common understanding. You will produce high quality requirements documentation and as the work progresses through development and test you will work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure the process is as smooth and efficient as possible.

Person Specification

Experience – Essential

  • Significant demonstrable experience of business analysis and requirements definition of new systems and/or services to health organisations.

  • A strong background in liaising with a wide range of stakeholders to drive out system requirements.

  • Proven experience of requirements analysis, collating information from a variety of sources and employing a variety of techniques

  • Business process modelling

  • Working from and developing scenarios and user requirements

  • Understanding and knowledge of technical architectures and messaging standards

Experience – Desirable

  • Experience in HL7v3 and/or FHIR

  • Demonstrable understanding of technology enabled healthcare delivery.

  • Demonstrable understanding of project management procedures

  • Knowledge of national public sector standards

Qualifications – Essential

  • IT related degree or an equivalent qualification or experience

  • Masters level qualification or equivalent experience

  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
