Job Description
Provide direct personal care in accordance with policies and procedures.
Demonstrate kindness and compassion when caring for service users, ensuring they are supported in a safe environment at all times.
Work both day and night shifts, covering for absent colleagues as required.
Support and enable personalised individual care alongside trained staff and experienced healthcare assistants.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with dressing, undressing, washing, bathing, and using the toilet.
Maintain comfort and safety of residents, including repositioning in bed or chair.
Assist with mobility using hoists when necessary.
Serve meals and assist with feeding if required.
Encourage hobbies and help service users maintain contact with relatives and friends.
Monitor conditions of residents, reporting changes and concerns promptly.
Document care provided and observed changes regularly.
Liaise with professional staff in implementing care plans, informing senior staff of updates.
Perform light cleaning and domestic duties, including meal and drink preparation.
Ensure the home remains clean and tidy.
Training and Development
Attend regular statutory and other training as directed by management.
Show interest in personal development and continuous learning.
Follow all policies and procedures of the home.
Requirements
Right to work in the UK.
Previous care experience and training (advantage).
Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) available if required.
DBS check and 2 references required.
Must meet employment conditions.
Additional Information:
Ability to commute/relocate to Criccieth LL52 0LN (preferred).
Must be able to attend an interview in person on-site.
Work authorisation: United Kingdom (required).
