Responsibilities

As a Home Care Assistant, your duties may include:

  • Providing companionship and engaging in conversation with clients

  • Assisting with daily household tasks and activities

  • Performing light housekeeping (cleaning, dusting, laundry, ironing)

  • Helping with meal preparation and cooking

  • Running errands, such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions

  • Assisting with personal care tasks, such as bathing and grooming (if required)

  • Monitoring medication schedules and reminding clients (if required)

  • Accompanying clients to appointments or social outings (if required)

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A caring individual with a good work ethic

  • Skilled in communication and interpersonal interactions

  • Able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively

  • Professional, respectful, reliable, and trustworthy

  • Physically capable of performing household tasks and assisting with personal care

  • In possession of a valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle

  • Willing to undertake a CQC DBS check to work with vulnerable adults

  • Legally authorised to work in the UK
