About the Role
The PR and Communications Manager will support Cambridge University Press & Assessment’s external communications, enhance and protect its reputation in the media, and help develop and implement a research communications strategy across the organisation.
As an experienced media relations professional with strong writing skills, you will:
Collaborate with senior leaders and communicators across the organisation
Strengthen the organisation’s reputation through proactive, audience-appropriate communications
Craft impactful press releases, web and social media content, media briefings, and pitches
Devise creative strategies to elevate awareness of the organisation’s work on a global stage
Excite and engage audiences across channels and digital platforms while ensuring accessibility
About You
This role requires an experienced communications professional with:
In-depth knowledge of the media and proactive/reactive communications
Excellent writing and editing skills, gained in journalism or a busy press office
Strong networking and relationship-building skills
Confidence in engaging across a complex organisation and with varied stakeholders
Previous experience in a communications role
Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
A collaborative mindset, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills
