About the Role

The PR and Communications Manager will support Cambridge University Press & Assessment’s external communications, enhance and protect its reputation in the media, and help develop and implement a research communications strategy across the organisation.

As an experienced media relations professional with strong writing skills, you will:

  • Collaborate with senior leaders and communicators across the organisation

  • Strengthen the organisation’s reputation through proactive, audience-appropriate communications

  • Craft impactful press releases, web and social media content, media briefings, and pitches

  • Devise creative strategies to elevate awareness of the organisation’s work on a global stage

  • Excite and engage audiences across channels and digital platforms while ensuring accessibility

About You

This role requires an experienced communications professional with:

  • In-depth knowledge of the media and proactive/reactive communications

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, gained in journalism or a busy press office

  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills

  • Confidence in engaging across a complex organisation and with varied stakeholders

  • Previous experience in a communications role

  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines

  • A collaborative mindset, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills
