Main Duties of the Job

  • Manage the procurement workplan for IPCVU.

  • Work with team members and stakeholders at all levels to deliver category strategy in line with organisational and policy goals.

  • Based in Woodland House, Cardiff, with elements of home/agile working.

Welsh language skills are desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification

Skills

Essential:

  • Comprehensive data gathering

  • Communicate complex information effectively

  • Influencing and negotiation skills

  • IT proficiency

  • Ability to manage diverse stakeholders professionally

Desirable:

  • Understanding of complex category product knowledge

Experience

Essential:

  • Delivery of complex procurement projects

  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Handling contract legislation, compliance, and probity issues

  • Delivering savings

  • Staff supervision

  • Risk management

  • Category management

  • Stakeholder engagement and management

Desirable:

  • Awareness of Quality Standards and ISO policies

  • Business planning experience

Qualifications

Essential:

  • CIPS Level 5 (Advanced Diploma) or equivalent knowledge/experience

Desirable:

  • ILM Level 4

Other

  • Welsh speaker (desirable)

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A submission to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) will be required to check for previous criminal convictions.
