This substantive opportunity as a Business Delivery Manager involves managing the administrative functions within the Gynaecology & Reproductive Medicine specialty to support excellent patient care. The role will focus on the delivery of services at Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, with opportunities to cover other areas as part of professional development.

Main Duties

  • Support achievement of key KPIs for the service, including management of 18-week, cancer, and diagnostic delivery across subspecialties.

  • Oversee day-to-day operational management of outpatient, inpatient, and ward administration, including staff management.

  • Ensure delivery of patient experience by responding to queries and complaints (in person, via PALS, or through the complaints team) and investigating DATIX incidents.

  • Take responsibility for additional KPIs, including letter turnaround times, data quality, and referral-to-book times.

Person Specification

Education

Essential:

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience

  • Strong Information Management Systems experience

Experience

Essential:

  • Experience using modernisation tools and service improvement techniques

  • Experience in effective change management

Desirable:

  • Experience of healthcare management

Skills

Essential:

  • Knowledge of current NHS issues, including Cancer pathways and 18 weeks RTT

  • Effective communication skills across varied situations and audiences (including handling local complaints)

  • Well-developed analytical skills

  • Expertise in Excel, including pivot tables

Desirable:

  • Understanding of diagnostic standards
