Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Essential:

    • Professionally qualified Social Worker (CQSW, DiPSW, Degree in Social Work or equivalent).

    • Registered with Social Work England.

  • Desirable:

    • PEPS 2 qualified, experienced practice educator, and ASYE assessor.

    • Qualified Best Interest Assessor.

Experience

  • Significant experience managing social care practice in a local government setting.

  • Experience managing a team through a period of change.

  • Practice Educator or supervisor experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of legislation and application in complex settings.

  • Knowledge of qualification and competency frameworks for social work professionals.

  • Experience collaborating with social work training providers.

Additional Information

  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check: Required under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.

  • Certificate of Sponsorship: Applications from candidates requiring Skilled Worker sponsorship are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications.

  • From 6 April 2017, Skilled Worker visa applicants must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have lived in continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years) are also subject to this requirement.
