Job Summary
Inclusion’s Integrated Mental Health and Substance Misuse Service at HMP Dovegate is seeking a passionate and dynamic Mental Health Social Worker. Main Duties
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based interventions.
Manage a caseload of service users within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team and Care Programme Approach.
Act as care coordinator with a focus on release planning.
Work with individuals from assessment through to discharge, including transfers to hospitals or CMHTs.
Collaborate with a range of agencies across the Offender Health Pathway.
Support rehabilitation and resettlement into the community.
Engage effectively with service users who have complex needs, including mental health challenges, learning disabilities, and forensic/offending histories.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications and Training (Essential)
Professional Social Work qualification: DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent foreign qualification certified by the Health Professionals Council.
Experience
Post-registration experience in mental health services (essential).
Prison experience (desirable).
Additional Requirements
Current UK professional registration.
Subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.

Additional Information
From 6 April 2017, Skilled Worker visa applicants must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided in for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) are also subject to this requirement.
