Main Duties
Support the Redevelopment Capital Delivery Director in capital planning and programme delivery
Assist with procurement and contract management to meet cost, quality, and time objectives
Collaborate with professional teams on technical assurance, town planning, and business case preparation
Coordinate with clinical, estates, and infection prevention teams to ensure operational, research, and educational needs are met
Ensure compliance with national priorities, including the New Hospitals Programme, net zero carbon commitments, and Hospital 2.0 guidelines
Build relationships across the Trust and with external partners to manage interdependencies and deliver redevelopment goals

Person Specification
Education / Qualifications
Essential:
First degree or equivalent in a construction-related profession
Postgraduate qualification at master’s level or equivalent
Desirable:
Evidence of continuous education and training
Diploma in Project Management
Prince 2 Project Management qualification
Formal DH Project Directors accreditation
Experience
Essential:
Experience managing senior teams, operational budgets, and multiple construction/refurbishment projects
Proven track record of leading complex organisational change
Budget management experience, including pay, non-pay, and capital identification/delivery
Experience working with the Department of Health and HM Treasury
Understanding of NHS corporate governance and controls assurance requirements
Desirable:
Senior-level experience in a complex public sector organisation
Knowledge of performance management methodologies and processes
Experience using ProCure22 (P22) framework for NHS capital schemes
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Essential:
Strong leadership and influencing skills across internal and external boundaries
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
Business acumen with strong commercial knowledge
Extensive experience working across health systems at or near Board level
Desirable:
