The Role
Kitchen Assistants support the kitchen team in creating positively memorable dining experiences for guests. This position reports directly to the Kitchen Manager and is based at Holiday Inn Ipswich-Orwell (HI Ipswich Orwell, IP3 9SJ).
Other businesses may call this role Kitchen Porter.
Key Duties include:
Dishwashing: Hand wash or load dishes (pots, pans, cutlery) into the dishwasher
Delivery Organisation: Receive and organise deliveries
Storage Management: Keep storage areas organised for easy ingredient access
Waste Removal: Empty bins and ensure waste is disposed of promptly
Basic Food Preparation: Assist with prep during busy periods
Material Collection: Collect materials or ingredients as requested by Chefs
