The Role
Amica Care Trust is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the team on a part-time basis (weekend availability required).
This role goes beyond preparing meals — it’s about supporting the health, wellbeing, and happiness of residents in a respectful, inclusive environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and serving nutritious meals, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety in line with regulations
- Assisting with kitchen organisation, stock, cleaning, and setting up service areas
- Collaborating with care staff to ensure meals support overall wellbeing and routines
- Creating a warm mealtime experience where residents feel valued and nourished
Who You Are
Formal experience is not essential — passion and dedication matter most. The right person will bring:
- A caring, respectful attitude and strong sense of responsibility
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and maintain consistency
- Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety, or willingness to train
