Role Overview
Padel People is seeking a Social Media and Content Manager to oversee its online presence. The successful candidate will plan, create, and manage engaging content that reflects the Padel People voice while driving awareness, engagement, and bookings across all locations.
The role requires a balance of creativity and organisation, combining storytelling with data-driven strategy. A genuine passion for sport, community, and creative content is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Content Planning
Plan and manage monthly content calendars for all site-specific social channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
Collaborate with founders and site managers to align content with key events, campaigns, and milestones.
Develop site-specific campaigns to boost local awareness and court bookings.
Support monthly Mailchimp newsletters with engaging content that drives participation.
Create briefs for site managers and coordinate content for social posting.
Content Creation
Create and curate engaging, trend-led content (reels, graphics, posts, stories) aligned with the social calendar.
Stay up to date on padel trends and wider social conversations for timely content.
Manage outsourced content deliverables (site managers, freelancers, designers).
Produce twice-monthly newsletters per site using Mailchimp.
Act as the storyteller behind Padel People, sharing key moments and player experiences.
Community Management
Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and mentions across all platforms in a timely manner.
Work with founders and site managers to resolve customer service questions and issues.
Engage proactively with followers, players, and local communities to build relationships.
Manage WhatsApp and Google review responses, ensuring communication is personal and positive.
Partnerships
Identify and pitch partnership opportunities with complementary local brands and businesses.
Develop collaborative campaigns to boost visibility, followers, and bookings.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience managing social media for a community-focused or sports brand.
Strong creative skills with confidence in writing captions, shooting/editing video, and briefing designers.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to track performance and refine strategy.
Excellent organisational skills for managing multiple site calendars.
A love for sport—experience with padel or tennis is a plus.
