Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with global customers and consultants in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and journals.

  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

  • Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and other financial accounts.

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as required.

  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure statutory compliance.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Generate financial reports and summaries for management.

  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and suppliers when necessary.

  • Maintain filing systems and ensure all financial documentation is complete and accurate.

  • Manage and prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or MYOB).

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong Excel and general IT skills.

  • AAT qualification or equivalent.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Role Details

This is a home-based role, and all required equipment will be provided. Candidates should be comfortable working remotely.

Expected Hours: 20 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday – 9:30 am to 1:30 pm)

Pay: £14.00 per hour
