About the Role
A fantastic opportunity is available to join a well-established set of services in Alveston, Thornbury, and Patchway, supporting five gentlemen with learning disabilities and/or autism to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Ancora, located in Alveston, is a small supported living service for three older gentlemen with learning disabilities and/or autism. The home provides a warm, homely environment and is backed by an experienced team, making it a perfect place to learn new skills and gain valuable experience.
In Patchway and Thornbury, Milestones Trust supports two individuals living in their own flats who require 24-hour support.

Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, your duties will include:
Encouraging positive self-image and maintaining health and wellbeing
Assisting with decision-making and promoting independence
Supporting individuals to maintain contact with family and friends
Enabling access to community activities such as sports clubs, social events, and creative programmes
Managing tenancy issues and supporting with daily living tasks
Providing personal care and administering medication
Candidate Requirements
The successful Support Worker will:
Possess excellent communication skills
Demonstrate a caring manner and tolerant nature
Be committed to delivering high-quality care
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Be proactive and able to use initiative in problem-solving
Show reliability and excellent timekeeping
Flexibility is required to work a variety of shifts across seven days, including sleep-ins.
A valid driver’s licence is preferred but not essential.
