Employer: Axiom Maths
Job Title: Online Maths Mentor
Location: Remote (United Kingdom)
Salary: £45 per session
Job Type: Self-employed
About Axiom Maths
Axiom Maths is a charity focused on helping every child with the heart and head for maths realise the potential of their power.
Half of the disadvantaged children who are high attainers in maths at eleven are no longer high attainers by age sixteen — a huge loss of human potential that affects both individuals and society.
Axiom Maths is dedicated to stopping that loss by identifying children with mathematical potential, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, and guiding them towards mathematical excellence.
The organisation takes a dual-pronged approach:
Providing a programme to improve children’s experience of maths.
Tackling harmful societal views that stop children from feeling like maths is for them.
If you are passionate about this mission, Axiom Maths strongly encourages you to apply — especially if you come from a background where progressing to university mathematics is not the norm.
