Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Leeds, United Kingdom
Salary: £55,690 to £62,682 a year
Job Type: Full-time
Closing Date: 01 December 2025
Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust to work on an exciting histopathology transformation and automation project that supports the NHS England histopathology transformation strategy.
This role offers the chance to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders within pathology and across the trust to deliver digital projects. These projects include increasing the use of automated lab testing using digital solutions such as order requesting and voice recognition software following a period of organisation and workflow analysis.
The postholder will lead a project team, coach and manage junior members, and deliver key initiatives. Experience in utilising appropriate tools and project methodologies while aligning to the department’s project delivery lifecycle methodology is essential.
Although the post will sit within the Digital IT department, it is ringfenced to work solely on histopathology initiatives, including but not exclusively the roll-out of ICE requesting and supporting the deployment of digital automation initiatives within the service.
Applicants who have applied for a similar role at the Trust within the past three months are asked not to re-apply.
