Job Summary

As a Quality and Safety Projects Manager, you would have a crucial role in delivering Projects across CUH and the campus, supporting the Chief Nurse and Chief Medical Officers portfolios.

You would be responsible for supporting and managing the delivery of projects at CUH under the direction of the Chief Nurse that are critical in enabling the organisation to meet its aims and vision and deliver its strategy. The projects may be individual projects, stages of a larger project or work streams of a programme with dependencies on other projects being led by other teams within the Trust.

An expert facilitator, you will play a key role in identifying risks and issues and operate as a skilled negotiator and ‘unblocker’ to drive progress towards delivery. You will be responsive to the changing needs of the health and care system. The role is crucial for creating and maintaining focus, enthusiasm and momentum. The Senior Projects Manager is responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of the programme of work they are allocated.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to Masters level or demonstrable equivalent knowledge

  • Evidence of Project Management training or equivalent experience

  • Evidence of continuous professional development

Desirable

  • Managing Successful Programmes / Prince2 Practitioner

  • Extensive experience managing large scale complex programmes and projects using recognised methodologies

  • Experience managing risks, issues and dependencies
