Job Summary
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced individual with talent, expertise, and ambition in business analysis. The role offers the opportunity to work on innovative solutions that will transform scientific research and healthcare delivery in the NHS.
The successful candidate will join the Thames Valley and Surrey (TVS) Secure Data Environment (SDE) Programme, contributing to the design and implementation of systems for data acquisition, integration, and analysis across various clinical systems and settings. The insights and analyses delivered will significantly impact this national programme.
Working closely with academic and NHS colleagues across the region, the post holder will have the satisfaction of seeing the results of their work used to improve patient care and support cutting-edge research.
Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate will:
Review, interpret, investigate and analyse business and clinical data systems used by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust and other NHS trusts in the TVS SDE region.
Ensure data requirements for business and research purposes are met.
Work closely with data managers, clinicians, software engineers, IT professionals and stakeholders across the TVS SDE trusts.
Identify issues and build solutions to support improvements in data collection, management and workflows.

Job Description
This is an exciting time to join the OUH R&D Clinical Informatics team as it expands to deliver the TVS SDE programme. The role offers the chance to work with experienced engineers, analysts, programme managers, subject matter experts and peers within the national SDE network.

Qualifications
Essential:
Educated to Undergraduate level (or equivalent qualification or experience)
In-depth knowledge of NHS terminology and information requirements
Desirable:
Business/systems analysis training (formal or on-the-job)

Highly organised with the ability to work to agreed goals in a self-directed and professional manner
Ability to lead analysis activities, including collaborative working across organisations
