Job Summary
The role of the Business Analyst within DDaT is to work closely with end users and undertake research and analysis to understand current business processes and to critically appraise how best technology can support their day-to-day work.
Reporting to the Head of Digital Portfolio, the post holder will work within the programme team and across the wider digital clinical and operational teams. They will collaborate in the design and standardisation of pathways and processes across the Trust using digital tools and will work closely with Workstream Leads, other Analysts and with the Change & Benefits Leads.
The role will support several workstreams including pre-delivery analysis/baselining, service design (future state processes), testing and service readiness. The post holder will help plan, organise and coordinate business analysis as part of a functional workstream.
Main Duties of the Job
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to elicit and analyse business requirements.
Develop a structured approach to identify, analyse and communicate complex business processes.
Act as a key member of the workstream, responding to queries and contributing to service/system designs.
Work on projects delivered using Agile methodology (e.g., Scrum or Kanban).
Analyse and document Trust configuration requirements.
Capture and validate current ‘as is’ processes within the Trust.
Support the design of new ‘to be’ processes through mapping, documentation and analysis.
Collect system configuration content from Subject Matter Experts.
Review and adapt configuration of EPR based on supplier models.
Undertake information analysis and maintain robust records.
Develop workflow change proposals based on new processes.
Support organisational design changes with Care Group Management Teams.
Ensure consistent data gathering, reporting and documentation.
Support testing, training and service readiness.
Develop business requirements documents, functional specs, user cases and related documentation.
Work closely with technical teams and specialists to capture technical requirements and assess feasibility.
Liaise with Clinical Subject Matter Experts throughout project phases.
Lead formation and coordination of work packages for Subject Matter Experts.

Person Specification
Education, Qualifications and Training (Essential)
Masters level qualification and/or equivalent experience
Business Analysis certification/training or equivalent practical experience
Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Desirable:
ITIL certification
Professional Scrum Master (PSM) I / AgilePM / Lean Six Sigma or equivalent experience
Experience (Essential)
Experience working in the NHS or public sector
Experience working with Agile frameworks (Scrum or Kanban)
Ability to analyse complex data/problems
Experience creating complex as-is/to-be process maps
Experience identifying, analysing, challenging and validating requirements
Experience using Agile project management software (e.g., Jira, Trello)

Hybrid role based in Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool or London.
A minimum of 60% on-site working is required (approx. 3 days per week).
Salary Range
HEO National: £33,422 to £40,731
HEO Outer: £35,587 to £43,244
HEO Inner: £37,749 to £45,353
Salary placement depends on current employment and experience.
