Role Overview
Absolute Care Services is seeking full-time and part-time Care Assistant & Companion roles in the Greenwich Eltham SE9 area. There is no need to be a driver and no previous experience is needed as full training will be provided.
Have you been thinking about a career change, starting a career in Social Care, or looking for a completely different path? This is a rewarding career choice for anyone wanting to support someone in their local community and make a difference every day.
About the Company
You could be joining a leading provider of home care and support services to older adults in the area. The company was formed over 20 years ago based on the owner’s experience of caring for her daughter. She felt there was a need to provide a care service that puts people at the heart of the service rather than profit.
Everyone who works in the service has a passion for ensuring only the highest standards of support are provided. Absolute Care Services has a good CQC rating and brilliant feedback from their Care Assistants about being “A fantastic place to work”.
What You Would Be Doing
You will be visiting older vulnerable adults in their own homes, helping them with everyday tasks so they can continue to live in the environment they love most because it holds their treasured memories.
When people can’t do what they used to do for themselves, their world shrinks. They may spend more time alone, see fewer people and may even start to wonder if anyone does care. The role provides isolated people with contact to the outside world and shows them they are not forgotten.
Duties Include
Supporting clients to relearn skills and regain their independence in their own home
Help with elements of personal care including getting up in the morning and preparing for bed in the evening by being there whilst they have a shower or bath
Assist with dressing/undressing
Preparing meals and snacks
Domestic tasks such as laundry or other household cleaning
Support with shopping and managing their bills
Being a warm, reliable companion
Provide medication support to administer, verbal or physical assistance
Daily living assistance and getting up and about
Motivating clients to achieve the goals they have set
