Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily routines, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Support clients in engaging with their care plans to promote independence and wellbeing.
Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals in care home or home care environments.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client’s condition to relevant professionals.
Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
Assist with light domestic tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning as required.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary, ensuring safe transportation.
Skills
Good communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Basic IT skills for maintaining documentation and updating care records.
Ability to follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.
Driving skills are essential for transporting clients safely to appointments or activities.
Experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where needed.
Fluency in English is required for clear communication with clients and team members.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support others are fundamental qualities for this role.
